It is with a great sense of honour that I have accepted the Alfredo Piatti Chair of Cello at the Royal Academy of Music.
I am both thrilled and delighted to take up this prestigious position and look forward immensely to working with my distinguished colleagues.

What a great pleasure it was for me to work with David Finckel.
I’m really touched that he made the following comment:
Performing as part of the Josephine Knight and Friends ensemble was both a pleasure and an inspiration.
Both her artistry and generosity of spirit shine through, and she creates a palpable, natural chemistry between audience and musicians.
I hope someday to make another contribution towards one of her well-conceived and beautifully executed projects.”

The Cello Society presents a High Fliers day at the Royal Academy of Music, London and have invited me to give a seminar to celebrate the art and craft of moving fearlessly and gracefully around the higher regions of the cello. Experience the dizzying heights of an open class with me ~Secrets of shifting and fail proof methods~followed by rare footage of high fliers cellists including Mstislav Rostropovich, Pierre Fournier and Gregor Piatigorsky. There will be also an evening concert where I will be performing with Mikhail Nemtsov ; works by Martinu, Debussy and Chopin. There is no need to book ahead, click here for venue details.
The concert starts at 7pm in the Dukes Hall, Royal Academy of Music on 18th November.
